Our family has quite a few birthdays to celebrate in February, so last Saturday, those of us who could, made our way over to Steve and Vicky's house for pizza and cake to celebrate anyone of us whose birthday lands in February. It was great fun!

Catchin' Up!

Well, sorry seems a little "short of the mark", eh? It's been busy around here, bubba! Since I wrote to you last, my first grandchild, a boy, was born. His name is Spencer Monroe Thies, and he is absolutely perfect. A precious, adorable little addition to our family. Everytime a child is born, I am in awe at the wonder and preciseness with which God has allowed us to procreate. As a gene is inherited from the mother and one from the father, as the baby develops month after month in that safe, warm womb of it's mother - absolutely mind boggling. Anyway, Spencer was a little bit early, but he's so adorable. Here's a few pictures so that you can see for yourself.
